A few days ago I had the chance to get out to Gettysburg for only the second time this year to do some photography. It was a pretty overcast day but it was warm, so I wasn’t complaining too much. I cannot wait to get out to the battlefield a number of times more this year.
The General Warren Monument, on Little Round Top, is one of the most photographed monuments on the battlefield so it is always hard to come up with something that isn’t the same ol’ photograph. Sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of a change of perspective. I decided to climb down onto the rocks in front of the monument to try something different. I realize I am not the first person to take a photograph from this vantage point, but at least it is not the same photograph you see time and time again.
